We love the Kontain and we choose to hook up to Kontain as it is rich media/blog site and also because innovative f-i team is behind it. It is quite rough demo to show general Deep Zoom effects that can be made with very Hi-Res images that can enhanced UX. In this demo we focused on development side and on UI side we just made quick skinning in Kontain mode.

What is Octoscope – Kontain Deep Zoom app?
Allows visitors to view Hi-Res images over Internet with extra features and different UX. In this demo we have main features: NEXT, PREVIOUS, ZOOM IN, ZOOM OUT, CLICK TO FIT… fast and slow zoom with SHIFT and ALT and
mouse scroller. Octoscope is indexing images like Google and showing them through own UI. UI is not finished, it is going to change in the future. This is 3rd version of application.

Extra features:

• Search (try horse, study, piano, or try with user johnny
• Images from one user – Click on first word (user name) on top bar when one image is in focus
• Layouts – Click on search icon – switch to layout (you can write words into search box to be layout for images)
• Paging

We have 4th version in the pipe for update in late Autumn.
